TKB's Taurus Orion is a piggie which's main component is chromium oxide green. Consistency of the product is (to put it mildly) not very easy to work with - if it's not patted on but sweeped, the golden holographic effect disappears and you're left with dark matte green as seen in the middle of my lids. Blended upwards with Hilite Gold. Taurus Orion will have to find a new home.
It also sucks bad as nail polish, to my utter amazement. Color-wise it's fine but the finish - OMG, matte green. Took me many coats to get the glossy look. Let the pic speak for itself. It's as if the pigment sucked up the top coat again and again and again.

Uhm, hello!
I read your "pale skin" blog posts and I think we've got exactly the same skin "color". Like in your case, MAC NC15 and NW15 are too dark for me.
So may I ask if you found some liquid foundation that matches our white skin? Which one do you use?
I found my color in a mineral foundation, but I'd like to wear liquid, cream or mousse stuff too :(
have a nice day!
I am so sorry, I am unable to help you :S.
The reason why I'm so heavily into mineral makeup is that no shops here cater for white folks - so I started to look for pale makeup elsewhere. Estonian shopkeepers do not have stuff for pale ppl, I have heard that it's possible to find very light foundations in Finland though. I did some research 2 years ago and I found only one thing that came close to my skin tone - some very expensive under-eye cream that had the same slightly grayish pale tone to it as my skin. Shisheido has a white luminous (and of course fiendishly expensive) primer that creates a nice luminous glow - when I combined the foundis from the shop with that, I could use them. But since I'm stingy, I never bought it, just tried the tester. :)
I'm definitely going to need a translation on this one...
Wow, congrats, this is a real spam comment, i've never seen this before in chineese x)
Too bad for Taurus Orion. I have the same type of issues with pigments in general; or maybe my eye shadow base is not as appropriate as i thought. What do you use ?
I have the cheapest available: Manhattan's eyeshadow base. I have the ELF one too now but I'm not used to have such a runny product as primer. I think it all comes down to the individual pigment - this one is just not cooperating. Moonstone on the other hand, and Athena - work like a dream. Taurus Orion's golden flecks fall off while you're in the middle of patting it on. Most sparkly ones are tricky and need the primer but Taurus and 24K Gold seem to be the worst.
You're surely right, i'll try today with moonstone and athena and i'll tell you the result. Maybe we should avoid too sparkly pigments as they can't be blended properly and kkep them for nail polish or lipstick mixtures, but i'm a bit bitter when i test a new pigment which turns to be a fail...
About the base, i think i'm going to try the ArtDeco one, what about your next try ?
Next I'd like to try E.L.F. studio eye primer (thick consistency) and the liquid liner in brown - that particular parcel was supposed to arrive a week ago...
I'm also waiting for a parcel from TKB and after receiving that I really should make a post about which TKB piggies should not be bought when one wants to purchase a good easily manageable eyeshadow.
