EOTD dark blue or brownish gray

Playing with piggies continues. Trying to make the unwearable colors wearable, mixing and matching.

This time the poor victim was Totally Teal. I started out trying to turn it into something reminding me of TKB's Ocean Green (blue with golden gleam) by adding gold sparks and Satin Orange Gold but the result was still too brightly tealish. Added some Blackstar Red into the mix and got this:

Overall impression - kinda blah... Will not attempt again. In daylight the color is more grayish, in artificial light the blueness creeps out.

EDM's Pearl Sunlight under the eyes
EDM's Sandy Fair in intensive as foundi
my mix dry all over lid and wet as liner, blended upwards with Simply Naturals' Polished Silver
Blush was TKB's Paris Pink, straight

Soon to arrive little E.L.F. hauls

E.L.F. has been teasing me... first the 50% off minerals offer, then the 50% off Studio line... I caved in, I surrendered, I am weak - as a result there are currently 2 little parcels on their way to me.

First order:
2 more mineral lipsticks in Cool Coral and Ripe Rose,
2 blending brushes from the one-dollar line,
mineral eye shadow set featuring the Basic Browns,
single mineral eye shadows in Earthy, Socialite and Royal
and the much praised mineral eyeshadow primer.
Cost: USD 25.95

Ordered on February 18, shipped February 23, arrived March 9.

And just as the 50% off minerals ended, they came with the offer on 50% off Studio line... My God, they really are evil busy little beavers over at E.L.F.

Second order:
The 11 piece Studio line makeup brush collection
3 of E.L.F.-s best selling 1-dollar line eyeshadow brushes
studio line kabuki face brush
liquid eye liner in Coffee (black liner was sold out yet again)
the double-ended eye primer and liner sealer from the studio series,
and the tweezers - perhaps I'll get a good quality one this time. I'm an hopeless optimist :D.
Cost: USD 31.45

Ordered on February 24, shipped March 2, arrived NEVER (were all sent back to ELF cause post office screwed up, verified the address on April 2nd, lets see what happens now - they should be sent again).

My only excuse for such spending - it's not all for me :P

(Sometimes I feel utterly embarrassed for my spending addiction - just think of all those starving children in Africa or homeless people on the street. This amount of cash would feed one of them for a week and I - I spend it on stuff I actually do not even need but only want. I believe there will be a no-buy soon, lasting as long as another good sale comes along or when I run out of mineral foundation).

Springtime bright EOTD

Something colorful - after all for the first time since November the air temperature has finally reached above zero (C)! Lemon Drop in inner corners, Lotsa Lime in the middle and Grape in the crease, all dry. The colors contrast a bit too much for my taste, next time something more subtle to replace Lemon Drop. Needs a liner.
Looks better when eyes closed.

E.L.F. Studio series 50% off until March 1st

Seems that E.L.F does the 50% off sales periodically - all the time something is 50% off, sometimes even 70 to 75% but I've never witnessed one of those myself. Last week it was the mineral line 50% off.
Now this particular sale should interest ppl who have been eying the Studio line makeup brushes, eyeshadow primers and liquid liners.
Happy shopping and according to the recommendations of the Makeup-alley experts, do not forget to add the 1-dollar line eyeshadow brush and blending brush to the shopping basket!

PS! Message from ELF showed deadline 15th March but on the homepage it seems to be 1st March - dunno which is the correct one.

E.L.F.'i kosmeetika kohta on palju vastukäivaid arvamusi, paar aastat tagasi tehtud arvustustes  on tema renomee väga madal kuid see on hakanud tõusma ja nende uus, vist eelmisel aastal välja antud veidi kallim Stuudio-seeria saab juba vägagi kiitvaid arvustusi.

Bella Pierre

APPI, RÖÖVITAKSE!

Ma miskipärast ei usu, et kui pigment torni pakendada ja "Bella Pierre" peale kirjutada, see kohe ka kordades parem on kui teiste omad. Leidsin ühe hinnakirja - Jumestaja.ee - Bella Pierre 9ne 5gr per volume pigmenditorn 1000.- eeku.

Püha Mooses! Ma tõesti loodan, et (eelkõige vaesem)  rahvas kõigepealt siiski googeldab ja alles siis ostab, sest see hind on väga, väga, VÄGA haige. Ma saaks sama raha eest 45 supilusikasuurust testrit (25 gr per volume) TKB Tradingust, kui tollile vahele jään, siis 35.
Sama hirmsad hinnad ka Stiili-ja Meigikoolis...

Just a rant about prices... Bella Pierre 9-stack is sold at 1000.- EEK a tower, I could order 45 pigment samples (OK, 35, if I also must pay the VAT at customs) from TKB Trading, each 4 times the size of one Bella Pierre eyeshadow for that amount of dough (fyi 1USD~12EEK).

PS! säärased tornid on kasutusmugavuselt kõige hullem asi mida endale osta, isegi testrite kilekotid on kasutajasõbralikumad ja pudistavad vähem.
