Sans makeup

Mineral makeup makes me look so good on the photos that i thought I should do some more before and afters. The befores look quite scary, my skin when kept natural, is very multicolored. And since I have been religiously wearing sunglasses this summer, i have become the reverse panda - skin around the eyes is lighter then the rest of the face.

Pics are taken under 2 different windows.

My skin is ok at the moment, none of the nasty big and purple colored hormonal blemishes yet.

I wonder if there are people, whose skin looks absolutely flawless and smooth all over without any makeup, all the time? I'd rather say - no.

EOTD Pink: neutral and unabtrusive

Something light for the summer.

Manhattan's eye shadow primer
The Conservatorie's Salmon Interference all over lid
TKB's Winter Rose in the crease
TKB's Ivory Lace on the browbone
Simply Naturals' Sandlewood wet as liner
TKB'S Winter Rose as blush
EDM's Pearl Sunlight under the eyes and
EDM's pressed powder Fairly Light Beige as foundi.

(at the southern window)

Used the foundation brush and the flat-top brush to apply the pressed foundi. Must say - it is quite shiny and not matte at all.

(at the northern window)

And this is the same makeup 7 hrs later - no creasing. Foundy has somewhat rubbed off from the nose as usual and one more pimple has appeared near the mouth.

Järjekordne EDMi ühishaul (EDM haul)

Another haul... it contained only one item for myself - the Fairly Light - Beige pressed powder which seems to be very good for summer, actually.
Other ppl had other stuff but they also collected most of it rather quickly - no time for photos.
Still - it's possible for me to compare the Fairly Light - Beige and Golden Fair pressed powders. Golden Fair is far more yellow.

And perhaps, if the owner permits - the Perfect foundation from the Buff-family in intensive and the Bouquet blush.

My friend who ordered a LHK last month tells me her's sheds a lot. So maybe EDM has let the quality of brushes in this batch slip. None from the old batch ever lost a hair.

The new pressed powders are pressed using refined coconut oil as the miximg medium - caprylic/capric triglyceride (C8H16O2). Tocopherol is also added. Before they were pressed using jojoba oil as the mixing medium. Allergy prone ppl who were ok with the previous pressed versions should beware and test the new version, before applying all over face.

Here are all Anu's swatches of her stuff:

Here we swatched all the pressed powders we both have:
Frist is Anu's arm (she's a bit more tanned) and second one's mine.

Now this one depicts all the colors of the OLIVE family I have.

EOTD Gray: Burlesque Revival

Archetype's Burlesque Revival all over lid, dry
Archetype's Erotic Underground as liner, wet
EDM's Pearl Sunlight under the eyes
EDM's Buff-Ivory (intensive) as base
Simply Naturals' Primrose as blush (pink undertone, lots of gold sparkle)

Burlesque Revival is dove gray with pink sheen.
Unfortunately the pink sheen is not visible on the photos.
The gleam under the eyes is magnified by the camera - the Pearl Sunlight effect.

Neck is the same color as the face

The blush is almost invisible.
Primrose is light pink with lots of gold sparkle.

Should start using the silver-purple conditioner - the orangeness of my hair is annoying me.

I made this! (EOTD: Taupe)

So today I finally took out the TKB Trading's Pop! sampler and tried to make some little taupe color for myself. Success :)

All ingredients in same quantity (Green Apple, Grape, Raspberry and Tangerine from the Pop! Collection and the Boron glow and Sparkle samples). Note I chose colors that would cancel each other out, I wanted a taupe.
Here it's possible to see the progress:
no 1 is purple and green together
no 2 is no 1 with a touch of orange
no 3 is all the above with pinkish red, sparkle and boron added.

And here's the result:

EDM's Pick Me Up Pink as blush
EDM's Pearl Sunlight under the eyes
Simply Natural's Sandlewood as liner (wet)
EDM's Sandy Beige (intensive) as foundation and under the brow
a tad of EDM's Cool Fair (semi-matte) as the finishing veil
Next time I'll try to leave out the Sparkle, to have a more matte version. The mixing seems rather fun and easy, actually... I'd like to dupe some Silk Naturals neutral eye shadows.

PS! And here's Pick Me Up Pink as Blush:

PS! A link to a great DIY MMU blog

EOTD: Bronze Fine

TKB's Bronze Fine all over lid
Conservatorie's Gold Earth blended in the crease
EDM's Pearl Sunlight under the eyes (got the full size the other day - wonderful stuff)
Simply Naturals' Sandlewood wet as liner
Foundation is EDM's Olive Fair in intensive and o-glo
Blush: EDM's Pick Me Up Pink (perfect, almost invisible light pink, Bisque seems a tad better though)

I made 2 sets of pics, the light is so different that the same makeup looks like totally something else. An afterthought - should have added something dark in the outer V... the eyes would be more expressive then.
