TKB doesn't repackage, and .50 more for three times the product is great.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4734554740434418732.post-20320215040885790552010-05-26T23:54:02.439-07:002010-05-26T23:54:02.439-07:00I think they both buy from the same manufacturer. ...I think they both buy from the same manufacturer. Coastal Scents has smaller samples: their teaspoon sample versus TKB's tablespoon sample is no match. Coastal Scents also has pretty steep international shipping when one adds brushes etc. I do agree, that CS offers better shipping rates for small orders (versus TKB's flat rate 11 USD shipping) but my orders tend to be quite huge
:)LiisKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16004717870737757625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4734554740434418732.post-68931679263227224132010-05-26T18:54:33.771-07:002010-05-26T18:54:33.771-07:00TBK Trading REPACKAGES Coastal Scents micas. Plus shipping is SOO much more reasonable with CS. (I pay $1.55 for shipping for four samples from CS. Shipping is $3.95 for four samples with TBK)
Don't get me wrong, though.. I still love TBK. I can't find hydrated chromium green oxide anywhere else.chelse malonenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4734554740434418732.post-25582008220075607812009-02-01T05:29:00.000-08:002009-02-01T05:29:00.000-08:00I am not sure about the Conservatorie's being chea...I am not sure about the Conservatorie's being cheaper part - the minimum order is 15 USD but the sample sizes are probably smaller then TKB's. As I was asking TKB what jars to buy for the pigments, they told me that 20gr jars are not big enough for the entire sample. Well, Conservatorie's sample would fit in a 20 gr jar just fine :D. I'd say it would pretty well fit in a 10 gr jar.
I've never tried to press - do not have any palettes either :D. And plastic baggies are also quite handy when traveling.
If you do go with the Conservatorie's piggies, I most warmly recommend Gold Earth and suggest to avoid Chameleon Glitter (has lousy coverage and the glitter just does not stay on).LiisKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16004717870737757625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4734554740434418732.post-58529233027618750992009-01-31T11:39:00.000-08:002009-01-31T11:39:00.000-08:00Nice !The shippment is quite fast with TKB.But I t...Nice !
The shippment is quite fast with TKB.
But I think the next time i will order the 25 samples kit from The Conservatorie, it looks very cool and is cheaper.
Have you ever tried to press your pigments ?
I think i'm going to do so with all my pigments and put them in an empty palette, it's a nice way to travel with them !Mademoiselle C.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14699146967316829306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4734554740434418732.post-27539170790863950702009-01-29T22:23:00.000-08:002009-01-29T22:23:00.000-08:00I'll be looking forward to your new swatches.
